Primary Location: Costa Rica Education: Bachelor’s Degree Job Function: Finance Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day Job Employee Status: Regular Travel Time: Yes, 10 % of the Time Job ID: 18007376 Description Closing, Assurance and Analytics (CAA) is a strategic position within FRSS designed in partnership with Finance to provide overall financial reporting, assurance and analytical services. The incumbent will assume overall responsibility for reasonability of financial results for the Latin America North (LAN) Cluster. The role offers opportunity to manage a wide range of reporting and analytical tasks, country and cluster reporting and projects. The Manager will act as a manager of managers and will be responsible for performance of a high performing team of 17 individuals. This is also a critical role from the overall Finance Transformation initiative to stabilize and create a sustainable model of FRSS ownership and accountability for E2E production of US results and Reporting for the 17 migrated LAN countries. The LAN Cluster represents approximately 30% of the LATAM (including MX) EBIT. It is composed of 17 countries, some of which have a medium level of complexity {Bahamas (Specially Offshore), Colombia (with GCB), and Puerto Rico (link to Treasury US)}. It is the biggest of LATAM CAA teams with 17 FTEs (out of total 30) spread across 4 Sub Cluster (CCA, Andean, Colombia and Venezuela), implying multiple layers of management and interaction. The role also entails a responsibility over ensuring strong controls framework, building strong leaders and teams covering the reporting as well as playing a critical role driving global improvement initiatives. Critical duties & responsibilities : AssuranceAnalysis Drive the LAN Cluster E2E Close Process; Ensure the financial reporting is in compliance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles and regulatory accounting guidelines and is completed in a timely and accurate manner, including oversight of the operational aspects of the accounting policy changes; Analytical review of LAN US financial statements and Management results providing oversight to establish reasonableness and assurance of the financial results; Review Financial statements with CAA LATAM Lead and LATAM Regional Controller and act as key point of contact for LATAM Regional Controller on LAN Cluster US Reporting; Serve as subject matter expert on business issues related to the Citi Finance closing process, data acquisition, data enrichment processes, analysis and final submission to the RO LATAM; Manage queries, escalation and issues raised to the team; The LAN Cluster CAA Lead partners with LAN Cluster’s Finance, FP&A, Country Finance, Accounting Policy, Product Control, Tax, Business Controllers, Legal Entity Controllers, Treasury, FP&A, FRI, Corporate and Regulatory Reporting and Finance and Risk Operations to oversee all Citi legal entities and legal entity requirements in the LAN Cluster; Consult with appropriate business lines and related parties on compliance accounting and Citi management reporting policy; Responsible for audit interface as well as functioning of key controls in reporting and analytics; Provide countries’ support on Local Regulatory Reporting Interface, Controllers and Board Meeting packages; Continue transformation of the process – Lead reengineering and Transformation. Interactions FRSS interactions for country, LAN Cluster, FP&A Hubs and Corporate Reporting on the Closing process; Provide information to key partners, Regional Finance, FP&A and countries Finance in order to support their business reviews, LRR, internal audit and Financial disclosure requirements; Ensure effective information flows and communication, including training and the dissemination of standards and requirements, an information system to produce and convey complete, accurate and timely financial data, and the upward communication of trends, developments, and emerging issues; Anticipate finance and accounting issues and provide technical solutions for business requirements. Duties include: Organize and Coordinate meetings during the Month-end-process with Country Controllers. Qualifications Post-graduation degree in Finance, CPA or equivalent 5+ years of experience in Global organization preferably in Finance Leadership skills Ability to influence Ability to adapt to an environment under constant change Stakeholder management
