Primary Location: Costa Rica Education: Bachelor’s Degree Job Function: Finance Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day Job Employee Status: Regular Travel Time: Yes, 10 % of the Time Job ID: 17078085 Description Description: This function includes responsibilities related to Basel Reconciliation (Optima) and GENESIS remediation of adjustments, analysis of variances and research of differences during and after month end activities along with the businesses. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review and distribute monthly financial reports to stakeholders. Prepare monthly consolidation and financial variance analysis. Coordinate financials questions/answers among Basel departments. Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial statements as needed. Work with the ICG Finance and Risk partners to identify, prioritize and implement initiatives to optimize and improve organization’s overall risk weighted assets. Review reports to identify key issues highlighted through variances on monthly trends, prioritizing material issues and directing operations units to investigate and resolve root causes while facilitating the appropriate escalation process and ensuring that corrective action is established and tracked on a periodic basis. Maintain and enhance related Operation procedures, ensuring key controls are in place and both standardize and optimize processes globally. Qualifications Knowledge/Experience/ Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required or equivalent experience in related fields. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in reporting, consolidation and financial analysis. Experience in risk analytics is a plus. Accounting/GAAP knowledge. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel) Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects. Excellent Communication skills. Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills. Ability to complete projects timely and accurately critical. Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment. Experience on Financial Services is preferred but not essential. Keen interest in business and economic environment. Bilingual: English and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus.
