In time, you will improve your understanding of the interrelatedness of all these aspects to provide a high-end quantitative/qualitative analysis. This position works with the Global CRS Team. CRS includes $2.2B of annualized expenses for the ongoing maintenance of premises. The FPA Lead Analyst will work closely with other Finance colleagues and FPA teams in providing critical financial analyses regarding monthly performance, forecasts and long term plans. This position will be required to collect and effectively interpret volumes of financial information while being able to provide a clear and transparent summary. Responsibilities include directly providing CRS Financial managers with strategic and financial analyses, development of forward looking financial projections and analysis, re-engineering analytics, resource allocation analysis, scorecard input and coordination of charges with Global Business and Finance teams. The VP will be asked to assist with developing analytics and reports to track progress to meet budget deliverables and support key decisions to drive results for the organization supported. Key Responsibilities: Assist with preparation of executive presentations for senior management review Coordinate with CRS Finance global and regional teams to drive critical initiatives Consolidation and validation of volumes of financial data, such as re-engineering saves and initiative spends Prepare and develop financial reports using Excel and specialized financial reporting software Full involvement with the monthly forecasting process and annual budget Provide financial trend analysis and fact-based financial guidance to the CRS Finance team Provide key financial and operational analyses and forward looking projections to business partners Analyze business operations and identify expense drivers Monitor progress on major deliverables Work and partner with multiple areas across Citi FP&A Lead/Participate in projects and ad-hoc requests Understand in-depth how work is coordinated across areas and how it impacts the overall organization and bank strategies Influence decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization Integrate subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area Lead financial conversation directly with businesses & finance senior management Apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge to contribute to the development of new techniques, models and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area while providing value added perspectives or advice. Lead, sponsor and support reengineering projects to improve productivity, improve controls and quality of key activities. Drive standardization of activities including the identification of productivity and efficiency Ensure there is a strong culture of high integrity, ethics and meritocracy Involved in coaching and training of new team members Work and performance of multiple teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual Supporting FP&A GPOs in driving the finance transformation objectives, including but not limited to driving adoption of new tools and processes Leading the FP&A teams under the umbrella of GPO Business Support Establish partnership with Mumbai in the development of data asset to drive informed decision making Full leadership and supervisory responsibility of a group of employees. Specific activities include: Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort Provide the team with a vision of the project objectives Motivate and inspire team members Lead by setting a good example (role model) – behavior consistent with words Coach and help develop team members; help resolve dysfunctional behavior Responsible of enforcing systems, policies, and procedures in the team Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with Citi’s plans and vision and communicate them to the team Qualifications Knowledge/Experience/ Skills Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Industrial Engineer or a related field with at least 12-17 years of experience with more than 4 years of Planning and Analysis experience Post graduate degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is desired Understanding of Banking & Finance products and markets Strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models Keen interest in business and economic environment Bilingual: English and Spanish. Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Portuguese is a plus Medium – Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills Applies project management skills Be attention to detail oriented and proactive Ability to lead and develop a team of talented individuals Ability to manage in a complex/dynamic environment and guide staff or work as a leader through change management initiatives Ability to question status quo, and identify opportunities to reengineer/streamline processes. Ability to identify and drive change by thinking out of the box Outstanding communication, interpersonal, influence, diplomacy & presentation skills Outstanding analytical, strategic and problem solving skills and have autonomy to resolve complex situations Ability to partner with senior stakeholders across businesses and geographies Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions A proven track record of collaborating and building relationships and influencing across the organization Strong and demonstrated execution skills An ability to understand and synthesize strategic direction and translate into the delivery of successful results Desire for continuous learning and creates environments where employees are provided development opportunities Ability to manage multiple deliverables, excellent time management and prioritization skills and being able to delegate work
