Primary Location: Costa Rica,Heredia Education: Bachelor’s Degree Job Function: Technology Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day Job Employee Status: Regular Travel Time: No Job ID: 18007220 Description Unix System Administrator Job Purpose: This position provides overall Regional BAU support to Sector’s Unix or Windows environments for Latin-American Operations. This Individual will work closely with the GCPS MW SA, DBA and SME teams and with the Technology and Development organizations ensuring the health of their applications hosted in CTI’s Unix and Windows environments. Job Background/context: Technical position requiring strong Unix or Windows technical background for providing 24×7 BAU production support for the LATAM Sector Server environments. Key Responsibilities: Provide thought leadership for Distributed & Business Aligned solutions for the region. Collaborate with client managers, project managers, applications and infrastructure teams to plan and coordinate changes. Manage the technical deliverables for projects to high quality standards. Establish and maintain effective incident contact procedures. When incident contact procedures do not work, act as primary escalation for problems and incidents. Accountable for root cause analysis for Severity 1, Severity 2 and chronic recurring incidents Lead the virtual team. Provide recommendations to B/RSLs on team size, structure, and membership. Knowledge/Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in enterprise level IT projects in web technologies (Red Hat Linux, AIX, Solaris, HPUX [desirable]) or Windows 2003, 2008, 2012, etc. Certification in technologies a plus 24×7 operational support experience Experience with issues facing large scale server environments About Citi Citi, the leading global bank, has approximately 200 million customer accounts and does business in more than 160 countries and jurisdictions. Qualifications Skills: Demonstrated experience with various technologies such as Red Hat Linux, AIX, Solaris and HPUX. Familiarity with .NET / IIS, SharePoint and database products such as Sybase, Oracle, SQL Server and ANSI SQL Demonstrated experience supporting complex Server Infrastructure products in a business critical environment Competencies Strong customer and quality-focus is a must. Sound problem resolution, judgment, decision-making and influencing skills required. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills Excellent English communication skills both written and oral. Self-starter and ability to work in a team environment Hard working and self-motivated. Able to work effectively under pressure Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities
