Description Experian Health ‘s market-leading suite of patient access, claims and contract management, collection products and consultative services is powered by real-time data and advanced analytics, giving healthcare providers greater visibility and control over critical revenue cycle management processes. A software developer’s main responsibilities ate to review and analyze software requirements, design, develop and support software applications, both existing and new, by participating in the entire software development lifecycle from requirements elicitation through solution deployment and support. Specific job duties include: Analyze, design, develop codes and implement programs in one or more programming languages, for a specific assigned software system or systems, offer suggestions and feedback, and develop detailed design document describing program architecture, processes data and function. Develop software programs, follow style and coding guidelines of the project, follow bug tracking and version control procedures of the project and maintain and enhance existing functionality, including fixing defects in other programmer’s code. Identify application, database software, and programming problems. Write program specifications for individual programs. Support integrated applications with an understanding of system integration, test planning, scripting and troubleshooting. Assess the health and performance of software applications and databases. Contribute to the execution and improvement of the software process as needed. Establish, participate and maintain relationships with internal teams, customers and information technology subject matter experts in order to remain apprised of direction, project status, architectural and technology issues, risks and functional/integration issues. Work with QA team and infrastructure teams to stabilize and complete project functionality, and prepare and deploy software solutions and work with client support to analyze and quickly resolve client issues. Provide appropriate research support to business and information technology groups within the organization. Advise on options, impact on other business processes and system priorities. Maintain professional relationships with both internal and external client and teams, participating in team meetings, code reviews and working closely with both technical and non-technical teams. Other duties as required. Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications Education and Experience Guidelines: At least 4 to 6 years of experience in software development. Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related field or equivalent studies. Strong skills and experience in software requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation. Strong skills in functional and technical software design patterns, principles and practices. Strong development skills in HTML, CSS, Java, JSP, JavaScript. Strong development skills with relational database SQL (SQL Server and Oracle preferred) Experience with WebObjects a plus Experience with enterprise web applications (specifically in developing in an n-tier architecture) Experience with AJAX, JavaScript, web services, XML, XSLT Experience working with ‘mission critical’ applications. Experience working with unit testing, source control, continuous integration, defect tracking and change management tools. Strong knowledge of software development processes, methodologies and lifecycles. Strong knowledge of relevant software platforms (Windows and Unix environments preferred). Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Strong time management skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Good knowledge of company and department standards. Familiarity with Healthcare terminology and billing practices is a big plus. Technical Requirements: Analytical skills: elicitation, Data Analysis, Logic, code development and design. HTML, CSS, Java, JSP, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, XSLT, web services. SQL. WebObjects Knowledge of relevant software platforms (Windows and Unix environments preferred).
