Primary Location: Costa Rica Education: Master’s Degree Job Function: Finance Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day Job Employee Status: Regular Travel Time: Yes, 10 % of the Time Job ID: 17065289 Description Job Purpose: Finance & Risk Shared Services based in San Jose, Costa Rica aims to align financial and management reporting processes across the LatAm region to have a common set of processes, thereby ensuring the efficient and effective execution of control, reporting and analysis requirements. By partnering with Country Financial Control, the organization strives to improve the efficiency of this common function by reducing defects and improving cycle time. The program involves the identification and transition of the activities from Country Financial Control into Finance & Risk Shared Services. This shared service also relieves the businesses of routine financial control and reporting activities thus allowing legal vehicle financial controllers to concentrate on high level, value added analytical activities. These processes are continuously reviewed to achieve highest level of quality and data standards while maintaining integrity of financial and management reporting. Job Background/Context: The analyst will take responsibility for the integrity of the CAA Brazil reporting process and for the reasonableness of the various financial CAA Brazil. The analyst will assist in the management of the flow of information needed to monitor, enrich and influence the business decision process and will provide detailed analytical support on CAA Brazil financial and management reporting. In addition, the analyst will be providing support in interpreting accounting policy, maintaining a rigid system of internal controls in the record-to-report process ensuring compliance of CAA Brazil reporting requirements and providing the pertinent financial information reports to facilitate the needs of the business. Key Responsibilities: •Review, analysis and approval of financial statements, Variance Analysis, US / Regulatory Reports •Review, analysis and approval of Financial and management results for country •Review, analysis and approval of Adjustments •Interaction / explanation of financials to FP&A •Account Ownership – Audits and KPMG sign off facilitation •Provide validated data to enable LRR •GOC opening / maintenance, account mapping •Quality checks and queries from CFO, FP&A and Corporate •Ownership of IMR Process & data quality issues Qualifications Knowledge/Experience: CPA / Financial Administration, Accounting or related fields formation bacherlor degree or equivalent education 5 years minimum of experience in a financial control / finance support roles / accounting / Citi experience at least 3 year Ability to manage clients, client communication, expectations and resolve performance issues. Skills: Advance fluency in English (B2) Solid accounting knowledge and US GAAP knowledge Excellent PC Skills (Excel and MS Office, databases, financial reporting systems – Access is a plus) Process management Management skills.
