Responsible to oversee the behavior and correct reporting of the expenses in the Consumer business of the country with strong focus on managed segment reporting to satisfy reporting requirements. As a regional lead this position will report to Regional Integrated Close team and interact with Country Controllers and FP&A, and with the Integrated Close leads in Latin America. A key component of this role is to ensure the use of standard rules and source data to generate consistent, transparent, and accurate management reporting, participate in the definition of best practices, implementation and definition of the operating model interacting with the FRSS, regional business partners and country finance contacts and risk key players. Job Summary The position is an integral member and local expert for the Corporate Regulatory Reporting Group. The core responsibilities include being part of the Integrated Close global initiative, the resolution of R2R issues that impact the integrity of the financial and managerial results across key dimensions: Geography, Legal Entity, Product and Managed Segment; partnering with FP&A, Corporate Reporting, Regulatory Reporting and FRSS to ensure accuracy & completeness of the financials at legal entity and managed segment Key Responsibilities: – Sign off of Actuals results by business: Cards, Retail, Insurance, Afore, etc – Liaison with FP&A teams to ensure close coordination of the month-end close, effective resolution of reporting issues, and alignment of one timers and impacts on Actuals – Liaison with Controllers and FRSS to ensure proper bookings and reporting of results – Participation in APS set ups to move all allocations/charge-outs from FullSuite, or any other non-standard tool, to APS – In charge of reporting package, daily shared with Finance community, to ensure daily reviews and variance analysis – Support all Finance initiatives impacting the country – Ensure alignment of global model among teams: no return of functions already migrated or that belongs to other teams – High interaction and communication with FRSS to ensure alignment to global model and standard processes are in place – Initiate the standardization and simplification of common processes. Coordinate with FRSS and regional team any alignment to improve Actuals reporting – Support Data Quality team and ensure constant reduction of adjustments during closing – Ensure use of Radar tool as unique source of reporting of One Timers, and APS as a unique tool of charge-outs – Support Plan and Functional processes by ensuring no major impacts in Actuals – Participation in Budget process to ensure no unexpected impacts in Actuals: avoid use of BUs to be closed and closed businesses, etc – SME to support the establishment of the interaction model between Controllers, FRSS and FP&A and also guide the implementation of new processes as they come to ensure proper reporting The position will report directly to the Regional Lead, will support the coordination of GCB Mexico deliverables and will act as the liaison between Controllers and FP&A for expense results The position will effectively partner with colleagues in Regional Office, Country Controllers, and Country Integrated Close teams, Technology, Corporate Controllers, Analytical Centers and FRSS, in order to fully deliver on assigned goals and responsibilities Qualifications Qualifications Knowledge/Experience: – Bachelor’s degree 7-10 years of experience. – Minimum 10 years of experience in a financial control / financial reporting / accounting role – Finance tools expert: Alfa, Full Suite, Pearl (Essbase/IFW) and APS – 5+ years of experience in US Regulatory & Management Reporting – 5+ years of experience in leading staffing and Analysis Skills: – Bi-lingual: English, Spanish – Ability to influence peers and business partners to take action necessary to achieve goals – Project Management experience is a plus – Ability to work effectively in a complex and matrix organization – Ability to work remotely – Strong Leadership skills – Proven track record in building and maintaining relationships internally and externally – Excellent partner management skills – Shared Services management – Able to multitask – Ability to meet deadlines/urgency awareness Competencies: • Leadership • Verbal/Written Communication • Presentation Skills • Process Management • Strategic/Conceptual Thinking • Analysis/Judgment
