Description Experian Automotive issearching for a Software Developer who will be a key contributor to the team.The candidate will possess a strong analytical mind, be a technical and creativethinker, and have a strong aptitude for problem solving. The ideal candidate will have excellentwritten, oral and interpersonal communication skills, along with the ferventdesire to continuously learn about different products and technologies. You will assist in thedesign and development of custom software and deliverables, as well as product maintenance,enhancements, and new product development. You will work with a team developing softwarein an Agile environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity fortechnical and professional growth. The essentialresponsibilities and functions of the role include: • Work with project team members in all phases of software development lifecycle • Work with team to understand the project requirements, system architecture,technical design, and develop the application components based on the design • Work with team to follow system test plans, ensure software quality assurancestandards are achieved, and validate that business goals are accomplished • Interface withsupport, product management, project management, QA, DBAs, and other colleaguesto support ongoing operations. • Track and report development progress and performance daily. • Create comprehensivetechnical documentation and release notes. • Ability to workeffectively within a diverse team and to communicate with others is crucial. Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications We are seeking highlymotivated individuals with a consistent record of professional and personalachievement. Creativity, initiative, resourcefulness and an entrepreneurialspirit are a must, in addition to the following: • Bachelor’s Degree inComputer Science or Software Engineering or related field with significantsoftware and computer science course work • History of personalinterest in computing and developing software • Two – five years of experienceworking as part of team with the following: • DBMSs such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, Vertica • UNIX/LINUX • Shell scripting, PERL, Python, SQL • ETL tool (IBM DataStage, Redpoint DM, Pentaho Kettle,CloverETL or other) • Version Control software such as CVS, Git, Subversion,SourceSafe • BI tools (Tableau preferred) • VB6 (preferred not required) • asp.net and Visual Studio (preferred not required) • Jira Agile • Software development lifecycle and Agile developmentmethodology • Excellent understanding ofprogramming concepts and methods • Excellent communication,analytical, troubleshooting, and time management skills • Ability to seamlessly transition to high-priorityprojects and situations
