Description · Definesspecifications and develop programs, modifies existing programs, prepares testdata, and prepares functional specifications. · Analyzesprogram performance during execution while using various programming languagesand techniques. · Providesguidance to non-technical staff in using software and hardware systems mosteffectively and efficiently. · Reviewsproject proposals, evaluates alternatives, provides estimates and makesrecommendations. · Designsand defines specifications for systems. · Identifiespotential process improvement areas and suggests options and recommendsapproaches. Key Responsibilities: · Analyzes,designs, develops, codes and implements programs in one or more programminglanguages for a specific assigned software system or systems. These may includePC, Web, or mainframe-based development tools. · Identifiesand resolves application, database software, and programming problems · Supportsintegrated applications with an understanding of system integration, testplanning, scripting, and troubleshooting · Assessesthe health and performance of software applications and databases · Establishes,participates, and maintains relationships with business units, customers andinformation technology subject matter experts in order to remain apprised ofdirection, project status, architectural and technology issues, risks, andfunctional/integration issues · Providesappropriate research support to business and information technology groupswithin the organization. Advises onoptions, impact on other business processes, and system priorities · Writesprogram specifications for individual programs · Managespecial projects by developing plans, tracking all changes of projectparameters and coordinating efforts between interdepartmental groups to ensurea timely delivery · Documentdepartmental processes and procedures and publish bulletin announcements to allaffected parties. Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications · Bachelor’sdegree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience · 5+ years’experience in software design and development · Experiencewith credit data is a plus · Knowledgeof multiple programming technologies, including Web development experience,high level of proficiency with the Microsoft stack of development tools (.NET,C#, VB .NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, Web Services, etc.) · Experiencewith application security design utilizing single sign-on and role basedschemes · Goodknowledge of software development and project management methodologies · Provenability to work on multiple projects simultaneously · Excellentanalytical, problem solving and decision-making skills · Goodwritten and verbal communication skills
