Primary Location: Costa Rica Education: Bachelor’s Degree Job Function: Finance Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day Job Employee Status: Regular Travel Time: Yes, 25 % of the Time Job ID: 18011275 Description The Latin America ex-Mexico Controller group is responsible for the integrity and control of the financial books and records as well as the process by which reports are generated. This includes corporate/regulatory reporting, management reporting and balance sheet integrity. The Controller’s roles include embedding consistent controls and unifying all aspects of financial reporting that are currently performed within the various businesses across the region. The position is a member of the Latin America ex-Mexico Regional Controllers team, responsible for the documentation and analysis of country local regulatory requirements, providing support for centralization and standardization of LRR, providing solution and acting as finance subject matter expert. The position will partner with global, regional and country Finance teams and will interact frequently with Operations, Technology, Finance and Risk Infrastructure (FRI). Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: · Collect, document and analyze country and cluster information for LRR transformation, including current state of process flows, technology tools, data assessment and regulatory requirements. · Support the rollout of LRR transformation for Latin America countries, driving efficiencies and the adoption of best practices for centralization and standardization of local regulatory reporting · Responsible for analysing complex finance processes to suggest and implement reengineering solutions · Facilitate data standards adoption for solution generation to improve finance data quality for consumption. · Interpret and adopt global guidelines to country context, generating meaningful and cost effective solutions for the country. · Use effective communication to present to senior management and collaborate with other departments / teams in order to implement reporting regulatory solutions, as well as drive the change control process. Qualifications Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Finance or similar with 10 years of experience · Minimum 6 years of experience in a financial control/ finance reporting / accounting role. · Regulatory Reporting and Accounting knowledge · Process or System implementation experience Skills: · Strong analytical and technical skills to document findings in accordance with approved quality procedures and standards. · Process oriented professional that uses and promotes validated processes, puts the workflow into action and takes into account the processes before acting. · Have experience with process/system implementation with significant impact at country level. · Ability to solve problems and articulate potential solutions. · Deliver deadlines and comply with corporate calendar.
